REPORIENTATION #120

My pen smiles as he takes a break out of dumbness to register his dissatisfaction with the atrocities of unscrupulous and atrophied Nigerians.  These opportunists, at the expense of the move for revolution created their sincere show of mediocrity and unthoughtfulness, disturbing the peace of the world. This was a sheer lack of understanding and refusal to think ahead of the result.  It was not even a comic experience when the ones to protect us against the enemies became a friend to the enemies, turning against us to put an end to Mr. NIGER ADC in the lives of many and damaging some other. No one need be told what/who was responsible for the breach in law as it is crystal clear to everyone alive.  My pen of course will not rest until he scolds the ones without values who went ahead to vandalise public and private properties, "know ye not that thou harmest thineselves?" You just messed the life of somebody eternally and put some other in debt without end.  Oh! You have forgott

Just outside my compound few days ago, the sight of a duel got me captivated .-The unresolvable argument of POWER against RIGHT and of RIGHT against POWER - Nothing feels better than getting a sofa for Solution.  Settling the issue seems the easiest thing on earth since both are reputable on the street but greater than arduous was the matter. The situation was a direct opposite of easy. No one would allow the other to make his case without interruptions. Oh! Would I allow RIGHT to speak and not POWER? Won't I need deprive POWER of his right just for peace to reign? In the blink of an eye, it turned chaotic and became a free for all.  POWER had ordered his subject to deal a blow to RIGHT. A bath of blood became inevitable. RIGHT was as good as dead and all I could do was to stand, look and write. Though it cost decades of aches and pain, it came out in the end that RIGHT was right. Right supercede power, no matter how long power may terrorize.  This is a proverbial admonition to p

REPORIENTATION #122

In the midst of our struggles lives have been lost, homes have been deserted, and the future looks bleak because of those who are parading the corridors of power in our land.   The greatness and success of our land is one that's not in the hands of the gods but in the hands of every citizen. This calls for patriotic attitude, being responsible citizens, and eschewing all social ills that would still be adamant in dealing heavy blows upon the destiny of our land. Come and let us talk about it; The wounds we have in our land - who's fault is it? The pains we have in our hearts - to whose fault is it? The backwardness that's gripping the destiny of our land on daily basis among other countries of the world -who should we blame for such? Well, we all must be intentional about killing corruption before corruption kills us all and ravage our land ruthlessly. All hands must be on deck in ensuring that we all work out the very best for dear land in all ways and at all times. The
REPORIENTATION #123 My palm hosts my lower jaw, carrying it as the pillar supports a building. Lost in the forest of thoughts am I with no hope of getting out soon. I see  the endless oppression of men by men and my heart pounds in the rhythm of the war beats as my pinna pick the signal of the happenings around. You can imagine how devastating it is for helpless parents whose chap was jabbed to death being asked to bring money for several unreasonable processes by our beloved law enforcement agency before justice could be done. - They can never disappoint us with their affinity for substance.- What other thing can be tagged cruelty than asking a commercial motorcyclist whose bike was gotten on the basis of payment by instalments to bring over #100,000 for funny engagement to get justice? I am sure a lawyer will also be paid similarly by this same person, even the Morgue operator will request for something close. If justice could be that costly, I am sure these parents would choose to
REPORIENTATION #124 Oh my, what a loss! Dirge is what fills the air as we bid our values farewell at death at a tender age after a long period of illness in the wee hour of this century. All I wake to see are scary devils in skirts and pairs of trousers in the society. Ladies exalting insanity on the streets, walking around the world naked, maybe to attract fellow mentally disordered men.  Rape is has become contagious just as scarlet fever; it is raiding house to house. Boys wear rags as their best clothes and are worshipped. The world that has been my home for decades seems like a new place I have never stepped on.  Things forbidden in the past are now very fashionable.  Sex is offered without a price; pregnancies labelled "unwanted" dozens of years ago is now GUCCI products everyone wants to carry for show off. It is far from being laughable when a lady changes partner like clothes yet parading herself on the street without a pinch of shame even when none left without a

REPORIENTATION #125

This world is not easy for anyone of us, we just have to do whatever is within our reach to get the best out of it. Giving ourselves to diligence and intelligence with great resilience in the company of patience will get us the cosy room even in this red-hot environment.  Yet in all hustle and struggle for life, our neighbours should be given a large consideration. People should be given priority in all we do, when everyone is remembered then the world is safe.  "Remember your neighbours in your hustle," that I heard a friend say and it has become word for thought for me. Considering the effect of our engagements on our neighbours will give us a danger alert when we are about erring. That is the highway to having a safe environment. We must live as if people matter daily, it is then an hen will tweak on the streets  without a wreck neither by Benz nor  Henz. ...and for a better Nigeria, my neighbour is paramount in my decisions! # THE REORIENTATORS √125

REPORIENTATION 126

Back in secondary school, my agric teacher thoroughly expounded the process of growth of a seed to us. Over time, I have realized that the processes involved in the germination of a seed are not exclusive to seeds alone. In fact they are not even the limited to the field of Agriculture.  For a seed to grow, it has to die. In the place of death, it may look as if nothing is happening but the process has kicked off. The soil on which the seed is planted must be able to support the life of the plant by providing adequate moisture, micro and macro nutrients essential for the plant.  It is wonderful to know that a seed planted can yield much more (multiples of itself).  Behind the process of this germination is an intentional planter or farmer who is determined to see the seed germinate. Without him, the growth process would not even exist in the first place.  Using this analogy, if we are to really see the growth/change we want in this nation, there must be people who are determined and in

Even in this festive period, don't bite more than you can chew. Don't be in too much a haste, you can't make money from the whole world of people. Do your best but don't leave the rest in misery. You wear seat belts for FRSC? Bet they will be there to count your loss. Many increase the height of their seats, mirrors are off for fashion and headlamps pointing to the skies as if the moon is not doing enough to  supply it with light. But which is easier, looking into the mirrors or turning the head 170 degrees? - Funny cyclists! You are doing better than good on your flight to the hospital.  But don't you think the designer had your safety in mind even when he is  aesthetic?  One-legged man creates his loads of problems for ones with two legs. Don't be too much in a haste to forget that you do not exist alone; don't forget your family members at home, without you the festival may be devoid of sugar. They need you around. Why risk the lives of many when you kn

PEOPLE WITH SIX FINGERS, WHAT ABOUT THEM?

People with six fingers, they make a good Master or maybe a god. I am not a factor in their definition neither are you; it all lies in who they think they are. The perception of the world is not a compulsory course but their course requires selection either to boost or fracture their ego.  He may cut the sixth and she may hide it in a pair of gloves, it all depends on their beliefs. Others may adorn it with rings of gold, elegantly exhibiting it with pride. It all lies on the subject's decision! You have a choice to make even when the world fires  you red-hot, be confident. You can win flawlessly!
