  REPORIENTATION   WE WILL NOT KEEP QUIET  Seconds roll into a minute, Minutes into an hour, Hours into a day, Days into a week, Weeks will soon roll into a month, And months into a year, and it goes on and on. Folding our arms to watch the enemy take all that is ours is not the best posture.We need to take a posture that demands accountability, protection, fairness and empathy. Words will fail me if I choose to describe our present state in terms of security and how unmoved our leaders are. Would it be another ridiculous song of moving on and granting amnesty to the merchants of death destroying our seeds? Now that the future has been taken captive in the wilderness, what are we living for? Tell me, what are we living for? Now, tell me, who exactly can be justified in a nation that normalises grief? Do not forget, a shot has been fired, we should all expect a recoil, screams have gone forth, echoes would soon be heard. A grave is being dug, and a nation is gradually sink...

Every man on deck is a wall of defence, and together, they become a formidable force, stronger than the Great Wall of China or the ancient walls of Jericho. Yet, a compromise by just one man can sink the entire ship. Evil thrives in a willing heart and spreads in chains. Whether from the top down or the bottom up, a single loophole in the wall gives way to the deceitful thread of evil. Those entrusted to secure lives now toy with them. Brothers no longer recognise their own. Tears and blood have become freely flowing commodities. No one seems ready to stand as a wall of defence. We cannot continue to turn a blind eye. The consequences of yesterday’s evil have become our reality today... and if we remain insensitive, the consequences of today’s evil will shape tomorrow. No one is coming to save us.
