Key Of My Heart

Image
REPORIENTATION  Key Of My Heart I am the rich and beautiful woman, sought after by many men, who compete with one another for my heart which contains crowns of many gems and also to serve me with promises to give me the best love rides as far as we could go on such journey. My heart is large enough for just only one sweetheart at a time but sadly, surrendering my heart to any is not for me to decide but it's in the hands of my families who hold the keys to my heart, hence my fate is in their hands. Time is wheeling by so fast and these self proclaimed sweethearts plead daily with my families with honey coated words for the keys that unlock my heart so they could be crowned as my head, but who amongst all is fit to be King of my heart? You and I are the families of this beautiful woman called Nigeria, and we all have the keys to her heart. Giving the keys, our votes to the wrong sweetheart, the competing politician is giving them access to the treasures in her heart and this can p

PAGES OF HISTORY

REPORIENTATION PAGES OF HISTORY  " A people without knowledge of their past history is like a tree without roots" - Marcus Garvey This famous quote may appear banal at first sight. However, the truth and meaning conveyed in it still holds true. As a country, it is an immutable fact that we have gone through various stages of development and evolution. Equally important as these changes is our ability to learn from them. This is not merely a sociological coinage. Both biological and man-made systems and objects improve when they learn from past history(data). A child masters a language gradually by watching how the adults in his/her immediate environment use the language. Similarly, artificial intelligence improves well in its accuracy when it is well fed with data. In similar manner, it is important to learn from our history as a people - in the choices we make. We can be guided by knowledge from the pages of history so that we do not fall victim to the same woes that betid

IN MY COUNTRY

REPORIENTATION IN MY COUNTRY In my country, no one is wrong. The one who takes the way of the other is never wrong. He fights the one taking the right paths with passion. None of them is wrong. Surely, police men harass us and we harass them. No one is wrong. The power company ignores the meter and bill from their budget. No never, none is wrong. Many drivers don't even understand the road, its signs and regulations yet they own a license. Hmmm, no not one is wrong. We give attention to and celebrate celebrities whose food are harmful substances yet we want a peaceful community. No one is wrong. Life is not comfortable for citizens and it is not a problem to our government, all they see is brain drain not the source. No one is wrong. Someone plants and waters, the other destroys his work to boost his own business. No, no one is wrong. Both parties will always claim they are not wrong.  It's time to take responsibility for our actions and make this nation move. It will take us

BLINDNESS

REPORIENTATION    BLINDNESS   Like a man once said that; "The power of the people is far greater than the people in power."   It's so obvious that the nature of blindness that has befallen us in this country is one which is of many dimensions. We are blind to system we need to create to make lives comfortable for ourselves. We are blind to channels we need to adopt so as to have religious tolerance across zones. We are blind to the policies we need to implement to make lives bearable for each and every citizen of the country.  By now a very good and patriotic Nigerian may want to ask that how is he/she part of the blindness that is ravaging the land which is beautifully nourished with green resources and spread out on the strength of River Benue and Niger? Of course, the answer isn't far-fetched at all, we all have contributed to the searing pains we are experiencing from our blindness because we have been so intentional in closing our sights to relevant things and op
